For substitute appreciation week, we launched a survey for substitute teachers asking questions about where to start on better representing substitute teachers.  Thank you for all who took the time to complete it.  The survey will remain open, as we did not recieve as much data as hoped.  Please refer to your district 76 email account for the link.  To see a summary of the results click here.

Sign up online for a Free ATA Specialist council membership! Specialist councils organize annual conferences, produce publications, maintain websites and offer regional workshops and seminars in order to provide members with opportunities to share ideas and gather new information in specific specialty areas. 

If you are interested in attending PD as a substitute teacher, I strongly suggest checking out www.sapdc.ca.  This website is the Southern Alberta Professional Development Consortium and offers courses that are open to anyone interested in enhancing their professional development knowledge.  The course costs seem reasonable and there are many online opportunities!
